Peace, we outta here!

So yeah, I've sold my soul to the devil and switched over to LiveJournal.......I just cant stand the crappy, non posting images and links crap that I've had to deal with at this blogger. I need a change anyway....
Things are weird right now, not sure about what's goin on with the summer anymore, but trying to not freak out, which is i'm very tempted to do.
Anyway, Had my game last night, while it was one of the most intense games I've run....it could have been better in many ways, i'll leave it at that.
The Sith shall have their Revenge in only a few short weeks!
Bout all i have to say for now.

Do you remember the stories about the trees in the old forest? Trees that came alive, could move, and even talk.

You Are A Chestnut Tree

You are a born diplomat with a well developed sense of justice.
And even though you're impressive and intimidating, you're also fun to be around.
You can be irritated easily, and you sometimes act superior.
Nevertheless, you are sensitive of others feelings and very loyal.
Sometimes you feel misunderstood and are fiercely close to those who know you best.

Keeps rainin' all the time....

She got out of town
on the railway, new york bound.
Took all except my name.
Another alien on broadway.
Well, some things in this world
you just can’t change.
Some things you can’t see
until it gets too late.

[chorus]
Baby, baby, baby when all your love is gone,
Who will save me from all I’m up against out in this world.
And maybe, maybe, maybe,
You’ll find something that’s enough to keep you,
But if the bright lights don’t receive you,
You should turn yourself around and come on home.

I got a hole in me now,
I got a scar I can talk about.
She keeps a picture of me
in her apartment in the city.
But some things in this world,
Man, they don’t make sense.
Some things you don’t need
until they leave you.
And they're the things that you miss.
You say,
Baby, baby, baby when all your love is gone,
Who will save me from all I’m up against out in this world.
And maybe, maybe, maybe,
You’ll find something that’s enough to keep you,
But if the bright lights don’t receive you,
You should turn yourself around
and come on home.
Let that city take you in, come on home.
Let that city spit you out, come on home.
Let that city take you down, yeah.
For God sakes turn around.

Baby, baby, baby when all your love is gone,
Who will save me from all I’m up against out in this world.
Yeah, well, maybe, maybe, maybe,
You’ll find something that’s enough to keep you,
But if the bright lights don’t receive you,
Well, turn yourself around and come on home.
Yeah, come on home.
Baby, baby, baby, baby,
Come on home.
Yeah, come on home.
Yeah, come on home.
Yeah, come on home.
Baby, baby, baby, baby, come on home.

And If the Bright Lights don't recieve you, wont you turn yourself around and come on home.....

Wow......all I can really say right now is....F'N WOW!!!
I just saw Sin City this afternoon....I want to see it again! It was FANTASTIC! The imagery, symbolism, and use of color were all stunning. I havent read the comic so I can't compare, but the movie definately felt and played out like a Comic book story. It reminded me alot of other Graphic Novels I've read, such as, The Crow and The Watchmen. Really Dark, Really Aesthetic, and very deliberate and awesome uses of color, shadow, and light. I have to say that it was one of the most beautifully disturbing and deliberately excessive films I have ever seen. The directing was top notch, the acting was friggin great. Wonderful cast. Mickey Rourke, Elijah Wood, and Clive Owen really stood out to me. I thought they had the best stuff in the movie. Great overall cast though. I'm gonna end up buying the Comic book sometime this week just out of pure fascination now. Its odd, 'cause I rarely give this big of an opinion on a movie, and rarely do I steadfastly stand behind any movie I've seen aside from "The Holy Trilogy", but man, this one is on the list. I'm recommending that anyone who has just a pure love of film and how it can be put on screen at maximum potential go see this movie! It is just that damn good!
I mean, wow, I just can't say enough about it, but I'm rambling now, so I should stop....
Anyway, go see Sin City, you'll be doing yourself a favor....

Aside from that, things are goin pretty well. Getting things finished up this semester, and am ready for my internship in Abbeville....Have all my classes lined up for the fall as well so that I can graduate. Wow, it feels so weird to be this close to it finally....

Ok, here's a list cause I haven't done this in a while:

Movie: Sin City (What else?)
Song: Run Away Train, Soul Asylum
Album: Stunt, Bare Naked Ladies
TV Show: Iron Chef
Book: Invisible Cities, Italo Calvino
Man of the Week: Mitch Hedberg (R.I.P.)

Just an echo of people there, has no place to call his own...

Of Gods and Monsters:

All I can see is neon...faint glows...red...
sometimes blue... and green, yes green is there too.
It is not at all as it has been described over the years.
Not that one should be surprised.
A liar in Sin City is as common as a hooker on a street corner,
with shorts up to her ass and fishnets.
I can almost reach out and touch it...
The pale luminesence I mean, not the ass.
It seems like the Ides of March just passed,
and typically, I did not beware them,
and now it is the time of fools...
I walk among them,
laughing at them and grinning wildly, as if I am the only one who realizes
that I am the one who has been fooled.
You get used to it after a while.

I remember once upon a time,
when I was a rebel with a dream,
walking star by star across destiny's wake.
I was a God amongst insects!
Now...Now I am folly,
fortune's fool some may say.
Others say I am but smoke and vapor,
not even an insect,
just a mythic idea that existed only in the minds of the frightened
and weak willed.
Callow.
That is a word I now know and understand...
We that dwell here...the ghosts...We drink the sand beneath our feet.
We do not drink it because we are thirsty...
We drink the sand, because we do not know the difference.
